Think about how well Jonathan should have fit in with Xander, Willow and Jesse. He noticed Willow when no one noticed Willow. He had a strong image of who she was as a person, when she could barely define herself. Jonathan’s words about her here are heartbreaking, because we know how true it is. “Just Willow”. There’s no other way to describe her. There aren’t enough words, and yet, somehow, just two words are sufficient.
